Explain How College Prepare Us For Our Future

College helps to prepare us for our future. Education is a priority in my family, and my parents have always taught me how important education is and to set my goals high. To reach my goals, I will need to further my education in college. As my senior year draws to a close, I have looked back at all the great experiences and opportunities I have had through school and how those will help in the future. This makes me realize how important future experiences in college will help in achieving my goals. Both of my parents graduated from college with a degree. My mother is a school teacher and my father and his brother owns SR Farms and Husker Hay Haulers. My goal is to get a degree in Agribusiness and come back home and become a business owner myself. My brother currently attends UNK and also is a Agribusiness major. We have had a dream for a long time to be business partners, …show more content…
During the summer I always put in 110% effort when getting ready for sports seasons. I do the same with academics, I believe you get as much out of something as much as you put in. As a freshmen and sophomore in high school I didn’t put in the work I should have and my grades were very average. As a junior I began to realize how important it was to go beyond average and to get above average grades. In the last few years it has really helped me as I have had my class rank climb each semester and have raised my cumulative GPA. Getting to know new people has sometimes been hard for me, but in high school I have tried to be involved as much as I can. My freshmen year I only did sports, but after my freshmen I started to join more organizations like FBLA and I was also inducted to National Honor society as a Sophomore. One event that I enjoyed throughly was Boys State. Attending Boys State helped me branch out and meet new people, which I believe has given me more confidence today when meeting others for the first
