How A Landscaping Service Keeps Your Trees Healthy And Beautiful

Trees are an important part of your yard. They add beauty, shade, and value to your property. However, maintaining trees is a lot of work. Unless you have a green thumb and love to work in your yard every weekend, you may want to hire a landscaping service to keep your trees, plants, flowers, and lawn in good shape. Here are some things the landscaper can do to make your trees more appealing.

Remove The Lower Branches

Removing the lower branches, also known as raising a tree, has several advantages. For one, it makes the trees look taller. They also appear better groomed with the bushy, lower branches removed. Getting rid of low branches also allows for more space under the tree. This gives you easier access to your yard for mowing, walking on the lawn, and playing in the yard. It's also a good idea to remove lower branches on trees near your house so they don't scrape against the roof. With fewer branches, more sun can reach the grass. Plus, there will be fewer branches and limbs to beak off and litter the yard when it storms.

This not only makes your yard seem dreary in the winter months, it can limit the types of plants and flowers you can grow in the summer. While a good landscaper can find the right plants and flowers that will thrive in shade, you'll have a bigger selection if you can plant some varieties that thrive in sunlight too. By removing some of the inner branches in your mature trees, more sunlight will filter to the ground. This can even prevent the growth of mold on your roof and walkways.

Trees play many major roles in our climate, but vary depending on the needs of a region. Roots that store water drive deep down into the Earth, holding soil together and absorbing moisture from underground which is then released into the atmosphere in a process called transpiration (Thomas 19-23). This moisture is essential to the water cycle, without which water from deep within the Earth would be unable to escape back into the atmosphere (see appendix). Without these trees’ roots, regions of all types would be affected in different ways. Topsoil would simply blow away without trees, and would cause lands to become infertile, as well as creating sediment buildup in rivers.…

Trees are a major carbon sink, meaning that they take in more carbon than they release. By cutting them down you are not only preventing from further carbon absorption, you are also releasing stored carbon back into the atmosphere. Not to mention the whole carbon cycle in the area will be off balance. Another, equally important environmental effect caused by deforestation is the loss of habitat. Trees supply habitat for small critters like squirrels.…

My friends and I were suppose to do this for a semester project in MS Zacks class. This was all possible because my mom took the time to drive me to the Morongo Preserve drop me off and pick me up after. The ecological perspective of my project is that the animals who lived near the preserve won't be affected by the clutter of dead branches, and overgrown shrubs anymore sor at least a while. When we were done cutting the branches we threw them behind the bush so that later on if needed an animal can make its home.…

The Great Bear Rainforest is a temperate rainforest of 6.4 million hectares, home to many rare and endangered species, as well as watersheds that provide the best salmon runs left in Canada. Unfortunately, the Great Bear Rainforest is under threat due to clearcutting and its effects on the environment.
