Note: Be sure to address all steps. A decision that I had to make recently was the decision to take a test to promote at my work. After talking to several people and trying to prepare myself for the oral board, I discovered that one of the questions are decision-making processes as for problem-solving. I was advised to use google to look up steps on how to make proper decidions. I need to make decisions, which of course have their pros and cons and I needed to weight both. White help of some decision-making modules I asked myself following questions:
• Does this decision make sense? I decided to test for my promotion .
• If so, why? I believe that I’m ready, I know what am I doing. I do want to retire with higher pay since our retirement is based on last 3 years of our income. I haven 7 years to my retirement, so I just got to start promoting and this is just a first step.
I do understand that I won’t be able to pick up my sons from a school like I used to but, I can look into carpooling or taking my lunch break at 4 pm instead of 1 pm like everyone else. We make decisions every day about everything. Some of the decisions are impacting us more and some impact us less. The amount of time and energy that we invest in decision making is not the same every time, but the module is the same.
