Experimental Uncertanties There were several experimental uncertanties accountered in the accelerated motion lab. Firstly, the presence of air resistance. As the object traveled down the ramp increasing its velocity, air resistance increased which affected the acceleration. Secondly, the affect of friction. The presence of friction affected the motion of the object as it went down the ramp. Lastly, the imperfections of the ramp. The wear of the ramp could have caused the object to reduce its rate of acceleration.

The observations and calculations confirmed the hypothesis. The object was under unifrom accelerated motion. Throughout the experiment, the object's acceleration increases as it travels down the ramp since the velocity versus time graph and observation table shows that the velocity of the object increases for each time interval. The acceleration was found by drawing a line of best fit and calculating the slope of two intervals on the line from the velocity versus time graph. Displacement was calculated by finding the area between the v-t graph and the time axis t= 0.0 s to t= 1.0 s and was compared to the actual displacement over this time interval which ended up giving the same displacement value. Although several uncertainties of error occured during the recording and analyzing of the lab, it is evident that the methods used produced an accurate
