Do Double-Stuff Oreos actually have double the stuffing or regular oreos?
Hypothesis (including reasoning):
If we find the mass of 3 regular oreos and 3 double stuffed oreos and average them out, then the double stuffed oreos will have double the stuffing. The company has advertised the double stuffed oreo to be double the stuffed, therefore it must be true.
Experimental Design:
Equipment: 3 regular oreos, 3 double stuffed oreos, scale, plate
First, place a plate on the the scale. The scale should always be set to zero after each trial so it does not affect the mass. Next, place a double stuff oreo onto the scale and record the mass. Next, take off the oreo off the scale and take off the ends of it. Then, scrape off the white filling (stuffing) …show more content…
Did not have that much stuffing to scrape off.
Conclusions: According to the data, our hypothesis was denied. The double stuffed oreos did not have double the stuffing compared to regular stuffed oreos. The averages came close to double but was off by 0.23 grams. One possible error during the experiment was that there was a few bits of stuffing left on some ends because using the other cookies made it difficult to get off. If we performed the experiment again, we would use a plastic knife to get off the cream instead of the other cookie.

Experiment Question: Gum Challenge
Which gum brand has the longest lasting flavor, extra or eclipse?
Hypothesis (including reasoning): If we test the length of flavors in Extra gum and Eclipse gum at the same chewing speed, then the Extra gum will last the longest lasting flavor. The Extra gum package claims to have long lasting flavor so we trust it will last the longest.
Experimental Design:
Equipment: 3 pieces of Eclipse gum, 3 pieces of Extra gum,
