Airplane Experimentation

Introduction: I am doing my project and research on how far you can get an airplane to go. There are many possible ways to improve the airplane's flight length. In the next paragraphs or topics, I will be discussing how there are multiple ways to improve the flight length. We want the planes to fly as far as they can.

Problem:

How does adding paper clips to a paper airplane affect its flight? Also whether the distance of a paper plane flies is affected by increasing how much drag it experiences.

Experiment of this problem: The experiment that I have done to test these problems was making 3 types of the same airplane. These airplanes are not made perfectly the same. One airplane is not messed with, the other two are. Will call the original airplane, plane #1. Will call the airplanes with paper clips, plane #2. Last airplane with different thrusters will be called plane #3. I found changing the thrusters substantially affects the flight. When a paper plane is flying, the four forces of thrust, lift, drag, and weight are acting upon the plane thus affecting how well its journey through the air goes.
Variables controlled: The independent and dependent variables both vary greatly from one another. On the other hand, the controlled variables in all three airplanes remained the same. The controlled variables would have been:
The distance

World War 2 revolutionized aviation immensely, all countries dedicated a large amount of their funds and time to produce the best planes they could possibly produce for the war. It was established that very early in the war that airplanes would play a critical role. Airframes, avionics, the use of turboprop and jet engines were all introduced during the war. This war caused a huge push towards modern aviation today, and started a golden age for airplanes, which occurred in the 1950’s.…

ESSAY 2 Air planes are very useful but in many different ways violate some ethical arguments and I will be applying the piece of technology to some of these arguments like “Violations of Established Orders”. I will also be applying this piece of technology to the 4 questions of that tetrad. The 4 questions of the tetrad are from Marshall McLuhans examination of ideas. Here is where ill be analyzing all of this information.…

Ramona Banks CE465 Capstone Project The Ninety-Nines is an international organization of women pilots. I have decided to build a weather course for the Alabama Chapter of the Ninety-Nines. An Alabama Chapter’s Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) feels that one of the most difficult part of flying is understanding the weather and how to read the weather. Weather is an important factor that influences aircrafts performance and flying safety. This course will explain basic weather theory and offer pilots background knowledge of weather principles along with how to handle basic weather emergencies during flights.…

First, how planes fly needs to be understood. Airplanes fly because the wings cause lift. The lift of the wing has to be greater than the amount of gravity that is pulling down on the plane. The wings cause lift because of an airfoil shape. The wings are rounded on the top and almost flat on the bottom.…

After reading both of the stories “Uncle Marcos” and “To Fly” and looking through them, going through the details I have in my own opinion that “To Fly” has the best information and description rather than a more fictional story. I see in the story in the text that it describes flying as it has transformed the way we do things differently such as exploration, our perspective on things in the world, and we always had flying set as an achievement. I have a few reasons as to how I think “To Fly” has a better understanding of how it innovated humans and our actions. Before I do get to tell you bout my reasons I will tell you about what “Uncle Marcos” and “To Fly” are about, “Uncle Marcos’ is a story about a crazy, interesting, sporadic, and…

Propulsion is a force that pushes forward or drives and object forward. This concept can be seen in action with the use of a balloon powered car; this car demonstrates a type of propulsion system in which it produces thrust and potential energy and uses the kinetic energy that it will gain from the movement to push the car forward. The thrust is obtained from the balloon which applies Newton’s third of motion that states, “for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Specifically, the balloon car’s action of the air escaping from the straw causes the reaction being the movement of the car. In my car, the design was formulated to best execute those actions with the fairly light materials allowing the car to have the maximum potential…

The structural design methods in these two aircrafts clearly shows just how much aircraft manufacturing technology has evolved, especially how the building of the aircraft is able to overcome the various forces acting on the aircraft in flight. The airworthiness requirements laid down for the building of these aircrafts leave no room for error. Strict standards are to be met and an aircraft cannot fly unless these standards are met.…

    I. INTRODUCTION (OVERVIEW) Before the pilot use the real cockpit of the real aeroplane, they need to train their skill by using a system called flight simulator. Flight simulator is the system that looks like the real cockpit of the airplane but the truth is, it’s only a fake cockpit that had been designed special for the pilot training. The simulator were designed to help the pilot to test or train their skill in handling the cockpit in every situation that they might face during handling the real cockpit of the real airplane.…
