Zara is a Spanish brand which makes clothes and accessories and it is a flagship brand of the Inditex group. Zara started with a small store in a city called A Coruña, Spain and it became the largest retailer of the world the last years and his founder, Amancio Ortega, the 2nd richest man in the world. Zara has stores in 88 countries with over 65000 outlets. Also, it has flagship stores on Fifth Avenue in New York, Oxford Street in London, Calle Serrano in Madrid and in other cities like Rome, Paris, Tokyo, etc… It sells women´s and men´s clothes, shoes, cosmetics and accessories, and even children’s clothes. Ten years later, he established a small store called Zorba in La Coruña, city in the north west of Spain and later the name was changed to the actual Zara. The company expanded slowly its business from a small town in Spain to the rest of the country and even Portugal. By the 1990´s Zara was an international brand finding stores in The United States and most of the Europe. Currently, Zara has more than 7000 stores across 88 countries around the world. Inditex also owns several brands of fashion others than Zara which are Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe and all of them share the same business approach and management as well as a careful customer. The firm has its business principles based in codes. The Code of Conduct and Responsible Practices stipulates the principles applied in each and every area of the firm 's operations within the company and with the partners they work with. All the processes are regulated by the Code of Conduct to achieve a developed stringent product health and safety standards “Clear to Wear and Safe to Wear”, as well as labor standards by the Code of Conduct for Manufacturers and Suppliers “Tested to Wear”, and environmental sustainability standards “Green to Wear”. These are the foundations of the Group 's environmental and sustainable strategy. All of these standards are part of our effort to make products that are “Right to Wear”. Inditex works hard to be transparent having an open lines communication with all the firm´s stakeholders. Therefore, the company is able to provide access to sufficient, clear, comprehensive, and up to date information to enable stakeholders to evaluate the company 's business practices (Grupo Inditex, n.d).
The reason of the success of Zara is how they kept up with street fashion with the changing times. That means that The Company take notes about the daily changing of the fashion and it makes new designs and put them in the stores in just one week or two. This is not common in others fashion brands
