Another problem in our world is people owning illegal exotic animals that are dangerous to our economy and people, and the question is is the risk worth it. As normal people in our country people don’t have the proper materials needed to take care of these exotic animals. Exotic animals require special care such as certain housing and food that the average person can’t provide as average people, making the animals suffer poor lives. When living in these poor conditions the animals often times pose health and safety risks to their captors. People that have exotic animals as pets will try to change the nature of the animals by beating them into submission and chaining them. Also owners will inflict painful changes such as declawing and removing teeth from the animals. When the owners have run out of resources to care for the animals many people will often times try to give the animals to zoos, but if there is usually no more room resulting in many animals left in the wild.. In and around the world exotic animals are getting traded by the millions. When this happens pet keepers need to be guilty for doing nothing about it. In the 1980’s exotic turtles became popular due to the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” show. When a request comes in for an exotic animals on the black market the animal is often times just plucked out of their habitat causing extreme stress that can lead to death. If humans continue to do this many animals will go extinct. When thinking about pets especially the exotic ones you need to remember that sure babies might be cute and easy to maintain but all animals grow up, usually into large uncontrollable dangerous animals.
