Exodus Movie Analysis

There is no reasonable reason to doubt the story and information the Exodus implies, but I do think the mix up of the movie and the bible of the plagues have some people confused and not knowing what to believe in the overall moral and details in the story. The movie did a good job, in some areas, of trying to get most of the information spot on as it does in the book. Since the book was written a long time ago and is a primary source, it may have a better and accurate outlook of the moral of the story. I am the type of person to try and believe everything the bible implies to me, but one person being able to create all the plagues does seem a little extreme to me. Gods are very powerful and can do just about anything, so that’s the reason I am trying to put my understanding into it. …show more content…
(www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagues_of_Egypt). According to the Exodus 12:12, all the gods of Egypt would be judged through the tenth and final plague (www.delanceyplace.com). Researchers believe they have found evidence of real natural disasters on which the ten plagues of Egypt, which led to Moses freeing the Israelites from slavery in the Book of Exodus in the Bible, were based. But rather than them explaining them as a wrathful act of vengeful God, the scientists claim the plagues can be attributed to a chain of natural phenomena triggered by changes in the climate and environmental disasters that happened hundreds of miles away (www.delanceyplace.com). Archaeologists now widely believe the plagues occurred at an ancient city of Pi-Rameses on the Nile Delta, which was the capital of Egypt during the reign of Pharaoh Rameses the Second, who ruled between 1279 BC and 1213 BC (www.delanceyplace.com). The scientists also claim that the arrival of this algae set in the plagues were set in motion the events that led to the second, third, and fourth plagues and so on

If I were to tell you to watch a film about men in prison, what would you think? most people would think it’s another ordinary Hollywood flick. The film “The Shawshank Redemption” based on the novella “Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption” succeeds in avoiding the familiar and it manages to redeem Hollywood in the eyes of people who feared it in a dark ocean full of predictability and clichés. With music, visuals, script and acting, the director of this film Frank Darabont has proved himself the master of the craft to create one of the most recognisable films. For those unaware, The Shawshank Redemption is about a man named Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) who is wrongly convicted of murder and is sentenced to two consecutive life terms…

"Wanted" is basically from a comic book that has limited series written by Mark Miller and J.G Jones, it is about an amoral protagonist (Wesley Gibson) who is discovered as the heir of super assassin. Russian director, Timur Bekmambetov, he is the cream of the crop, he turns this comic into a movie that make the viewers not sit still and make their adrenaline and cortisone levels spike with the actions. Bekmambetov used the similar style of shots and angles with his previous movie, Night watch. It's more to wide angle (long shot), so we can see the terrifying background like one of the scenes in the torture room, where Wes has been beaten up by the butcher. Not even that, there are many special effects that Bekmambetov applies in this movie, like slow-motion with sound effects that certainly provides that "ouch" reaction from audiences.…

Barbara Tuchman 's "The Plague" (rpt. In Santi V. Buscemi and Charlotte Smith, 75 Readings Plus 10th ed. [New York: McGraw Hill, 2013] 32-44) recaptures approximately every significant detail of the sinister disease, formally known as the Bubonic Plague or The Black Death that attacked the world in the mid 14th century. Unlike common infirmities found in the 21st era, such as AIDS or HIV, the bubonic plague killed nearly one-third of the earth 's population in five short years. What makes this disease more horrific than any other are its death-rates, the corruption it brought to governments, churches, and families worldwide, and the way it made many believe it was the end for humanity.…

    Essay On Yersinia Pestis

There have been few times in the history of the human race where civilization has been under the threat of extinction. One such time, arguably the most infamous, was when the Black Death ravaged the western hemisphere. For several hundred years, the cause of this devastating disease remained a mystery, however, recent analysis from the DNA of the victims of the plague indicate that Yersinia pestis a bacillus shaped bacterium, was the likely cause of this tragedy (Perry and Fetherston, 1997). The road leading up to Y. pestis becoming God’s bacterial agent of judgement was a relatively short one, as evidence suggests that the bacteria had divulged from Yersinia pseudotuburculosis as close to 800 years beforehand (Chain et al., 2004).…
