Millions of years ago, apes would live in the trees, but many were drawn to the ocean for food. With the changing Earth and many volcanic eruptions along the coast, apes left and went inland to survive, but could it be that some went into the water to find another way of life, thus creating the aquatic ape? If humans evolved from apes, and mermaids evolved from apes, then that would explain why we look similar, but obviously have different features, it's just the result of the environment we evolved in. These theories are completely similar, but very different at the same …show more content…
Land has trees, grass, plants, and now buildings and air. Whereas, the ocean/sea has water, seaweed, kelp, sand, and the sea floor. We call what we walk on, the ground, but what's at the bottom of the ocean, we call the sea floor. Both of these places have plants and different animals that inhabit them, for instance, on land, we have the dog as our companion, but in the ocean, seals are the dogs of the sea. Dolphins are the mermaids companion, they hunt together, just as we do with our dogs. But not all species are alike. We don't have sharks on land, we don't have octopi, the animals that inhabit our land are very different from the ones that live under the
