As a new-born treated at the neonatology care right after birth for two weeks, I am naturally attracted to the vibrant hospital environment. When I was 5 years old, I was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome, a kidney disease. Big hospitals, doctors, nurses, friendly staff, and the food were part of my life until I was completely cured after 5 years. I am thankful to my parents for giving me access to the quality health care. Because health care is a right and not just for the privileged, my goal is to work in health service organizations such as hospitals, long-term care providers, and managed care. With the Masters in Health Administration degree from CSU-Global Campus, I will develop my competencies in management and an in-depth knowledge of healthcare sector to achieve my goals. …show more content…
My academic history reflects this shortcoming. Upon my final semester, I challenged myself with an 18-hour course load with a simultaneous practicum experience. Through assignments, labs, projects, and bi-weekly visits to my practicum site, I honed the skills to be an effective and self directed learner while succeeding in courses such as Exercise Psychology, Biomechanics, and an Internship course. Since then, I have revised my coursework to improve my academic performance consistently earning A’s and B’s. I achieved this while working at Athletico as a Physical Therapy aide interacting with patients, doctors, and administration staff at the corporate headquarters. My last 60 credit hours reflect my accountability and determination to pursue a path to join a graduate program in health care
