The purpose of this paper is to discuss the effects of beginning an exercise routine after becoming an “unfit person.” We all know that exercise is good for our health and we should all be active, but getting a routine started can be difficult. To me, an unfit person is someone that hasn’t exercised in a long time or if ever at all. As a result of being unfit, you will loss muscle mass and gain more weight. Nevertheless, being unfit does not conclude the fact that you enjoy those features; more so, you will not enjoy the physical and psychological consequences that come with being unfit. You may want to begin an exercise routine, but encounter challenges that interfere with those attempts, or simply, lack the motivation of getting started. …show more content…
I was very thankful for this because I had never before started from the bottom in order to work my way up. The motivation and knowledge I attained during my attempts to beginning an exercise routine created a perfect combination for success. For me, the actions I took toward my physical fitness were enough. Coming to the realization that all I needed to do was try, was enough for me to be successful. The stronger you are, the harder you will push, and the harder you push, the better you will feel. Hence, your mental health will also improve. As an unfit person you will physically struggle harder than someone who is fit, but you will achieve an initial feeling of glory. The psychological thrill you will experience is most essential. It is important to recognize and embrace that feeling because that is what is the key to your success of becoming fit. It will become the ultimate reason why you made the change from being unfit to becoming fit. Previously, I mentioned my experience of aches and pains, but honestly, a tiny part of me felt thrilled about it. Yes, my muscle felt sore, but I really felt great about myself for getting to the gym and trying to overcome interfering challenges. At that moment I realized that I still had the ability I had to reach my fitness goals. For the reason I was feeling so good, the positivity affected my family too. I had the energy and willingness to get out of the house and find things to do around the city. For example, we have been swimming, going to the zoo, and even able to go to the park every evening. The greatest part is that my daughter has been impacted positively and that feels great. I managed to forget about the psychological happiness and benefits that exercise brings to your mind.
