Want to lose the muffin top? Exercise is improving lives all around the world. It can change your life to. Researchers found more than 2 billion people worldwide are now overweight or obese. The highest rates were in the Middle East and North Africa, where nearly 60 percent of men and 65 percent of women are heavy. The U.S. has about 13 percent of the world's fat population, a greater percentage than any other country.. Exercise helps prevent diseases, controls weight, and improves mood. Daily physical activity can help prevent heart disease, cancer, dementia, type 2 diabetes, depressielpson, obesity, high blood pressure, and stroke. Currently, the rate of diagnosed diabetes is 8.5 percent for Central and South Americans, 9.3 percent for Cubans, 13.9 percent for Mexican Americans, and 14.8 percent for Puerto Ricans. If you don’t want to exercise at a gym because it costs money to run in place. Then run at your house. You don’t need any special equipment. All you need is yourself. In the trial, Patel and his team assigned 281 overweight and obese people the same goal—to walk 7,000 steps a day. People were tracked for 13 weeks through their smartphones, and only their incentives were different. When they met their goal, some people were merely told that they had done so, while others were entered into a cash lottery. A third group was given $1.40 each day they met the goal. The last group was given $42 at the start of the study and had $1.40 removed for every day they didn’t take enough steps. Setting a goal is a great way to exercise and get active. In conclusion exercise is saving lives in America, by helping prevent diseases, controlling weight, and improves mood. I am challenging you to take a 30min walk or a 20min run 4 days a week.
