When I read this quote I think what he means is that most people do the same things every day. We all have the same daily routine and we don’t stray from that very much. Most people in life are very closed minded to trying new things because they just become comfortable with their everyday life. Society has a lot to do with the way we think also. At a young age we learn you go to school then after you graduate you get a job and work for the rest of your life. Yet if you think about it, there is so much more to life than just working all the time. When you are focused on certain things in life sometimes other things pass you by.
Although to some people consistency is boring, to others it’s perfectly fine. Some people love doing the same things all the time. It’s more comfortable for them to stick to the same things. I think most people would agree that it’s easier to do what you already know how to, and that is what is holding them back from trying new things, the fear of failure. So they dislike change and continue doing things in their comfort zone. Personally, I disagree with that. I always hear people say, “If you’re not getting better, you’re getting worse.” That is a very true statement. If you become complacent in your life, then others are just going to pass you by. We are only given so much time on this Earth we should take advantage of it and learn and experience new things every day, rather than becoming stuck in a daily
