Exemplification Essay: Post Workout Recovery Meal

Many people tend to skip the most important meal of the day, and I am not talking about breakfast. I am referring to the post workout recovery meal. Some people do not refuel their bodies after a workout because they believe the calorie intake will undo any benefits from their recently completed calorie burning workout. Many others simply do not take the time to properly refuel. Consuming a meal consisting of 10-20g of protein and 20-30g of carbohydrates allows for muscle recovery and restores energy. This meal should be ideally consumed as soon as possible after a workout; preferably within an hour of finishing a workout. I personally prefer real whole foods over supplements, but liquid supplements do other a couple of advantages for post
