The President has proposed a three year community policing initiative, which will train and provide resource for agencies (Donovan, 2014). As part of the program officers will be made to wear body cameras on their person. This has been successful in other places and is definitely what is needed in Ferguson. He is worried that the coming warm weather will mean a greater likely hood of altercation between police and citizens (Burke, 2015). Hopefully the leaders in the community take proactive measures to try and bring the community more together and brace themselves for those likely inevitable pockets of violence that will erupt but not let the whole city be swept into it While it may take some time to see it the tragedy has done something, it has called light to the issues of poverty and the rate at which minorities are affected, and not just in Ferguson but the nation. It has spurred some people into action and not just by violence, people are inspired to do something to change the situation and make it better.
