Darryl; Thank you for your post, it was enjoyable to read and most enlightening. In your ideas of the Five Fundamental Practices of Exemplary Leadership Models, you exemplified your ability to develop a leadership development process that is attentive to those you plan to lead. Your descriptive methods allowed one to understand with clarity your intended way of inspiring a shared vision, while challenging the process, and enabling others to act, while encouraging one’s heart (Kouzes and Posner, 17).
Under the topic of Model the Way; making sure others observe you practicing what you intend them to follow is a good start, in one’s opinion. It is this reader’s belief that leading by example will teach others how to work smart and work together,

In regards to inspiring a shared vision, where you would speak of your experiences when the vision of what you would like to happen with one’s team has happened with other teams and even in other organizations. The question that is raised is this: what would you like to happen that other teams could share or has happened with them? It is understood the reference of Kouzes and Posner, which stated “leaders envision the future by imagining exciting and ennobling possibilities." However, what is your dream or what have you envisioned?
You stated Darryl, under the topic of “To Challenge the Process,” a leader must sometimes put one’s self in a position that makes them uncomfortable, therefore one would have to be the change agent or inspire others to be change agents and lead the charge to be part of a solution, not part of the problem. It is this writer’s observation that agrees with your statement, based on experiences.
