Colossians chapter 2. We’re going to begin in verse 6. Before we start, I’m just going to warn you that there is going to be a large chunk of Scripture used here. But we be focused here in Colossians 2 almost the entire time, so it will be easy for you to follow along in your Bibles.

Let’s look at verses 9 and 10 first:
“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.”
Paul is giving the reason here for not buying into the false teaching. First, Paul establishes that the fullness of God is found in the Gospel that was preached-in Jesus Christ. As a fun fact: How many of you have seen early church art? If you have, you’ve seen this hand sign used. [Use ancient hand sign illustration]
That hand symbol illustrates the powerful truth that Jesus Christ, the perfect human, was indeed also fully God. Perfection and glory and power. There is no other gospel. You can’t taint the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the fullness of God!
