The Federal Aviation Association (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification will set you apart from other maintenance officer candidates as it is notorious difficult to obtain. Despite its difficulty, I am confident you can conquer the requirements. Your preferred role as an executor as well as your adaptive cognitive skills will help you through the lengthy and detailed-oriented process. As an FAA certified mechanic, you will gain insight on how civilian aviation operates. A broad understanding of maintenance practices both in and outside of the military will set you up for problem solving. As mild adapter, you could comfortably apply a mildly innovative approach by considering possible solutions from the civilian sector. Moreover, your knowledge of civilian aviation practices and your experience with the A&P certification process can help you mentor other maintainers teach. This will again have an impact on the entire KC-135 community as you often instruct students from AF RES, ANG, AD
