Executive Summary: The Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets are on target on its playoff run this season. They hold the best win-loss record last December winning 15 games with two losses. And now, in order to maintain their momentum, reports are suggesting that they should consider of adding Rudy Gay to their roster to boost up their chances in the postseason.

Gay has been productive for the Sacramento Kings this season. He is second in points (18.5), rebounds (6.3) and even in blocks (0.67) for the team behind DeMarcus Cousins while leading also them in steals (1.5). But before the regular season starts, he already stated that he is leaving the team after the season and will not pick up his 2017 player option.

And with this impending scenario, it seems that the Houston Rockets will renew their interest in him and might make a move before the trade deadline. Five months ago, Hoops Hype already reported that the Rockets have signified their interest in acquiring the 30-year old veteran forward. But during those time, salary issues is said to be one of the main reason the plan broke up.
