The CEO Warren Buffett, Chief Executive Officer of Berkshire Hathaway once said, "It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently." Being a CEO is a job that has always appeared to be interesting to me. It takes several years of hard work and dedication and getting to know people. My dad is a CEO and I see how he lives and how he enjoys life. I aspire to be just like him. I researched what the requirements are to be a CEO and what ones background has to be. Becoming a CEO will not be easy, but it is definitely possible if I put my mind to it. Not only is it feasible to get a job as a CEO, but I also found out how much money a person in this field makes. Yes, they are indeed making a large amount of money, but it is well deserved money. Becoming a CEO may not sound like a fun job, but to me it does. Being a CEO consists of a large salary, strenuous schedules, and a hard working personality and several years of schooling. Getting to the top may be easy, but staying at the top is even more challenging. Getting this job done requires hard work sand long hours. In “Exploding myths of CEO pay”, it is stated that “CEOs earn 160 times more than the lowest-paid worker.” (Meredith, David R). Yes, that is a considerable amount and a multitude of people think they are over payed. However, the reality is that CEOs are fairly paid for the work they do.
