Starting my life when younger, I was very afraid of others when it came to them treating me differently due to my medical issues and social anxiety. For a long time, I was also wanting to be at home with my parents. Early on in school, my mother was going out of town for a few days. I went to school on the day she was leaving, and to no surprise, I broke down into tears wanting to leave school and go with her. Was this healthy for a young child? It was not unusual, that is for certain. Without my parents being there for me each and every day, I would not be the person that I am today. As the days passed, I learned how to be a better person, treating people as I wanted to be treated. To this day, though, I only have a few select friends. I am not a shy person, but it has been challenging for me to have that want to meet other people. In my past employment, however, I am not afraid to provide exceptional customer service. I am willing to meet strangers and spark up a conversation while I am helping them. …show more content…
We all have issues in our lives, there is no question about that. If someone tells you that they have not had a single problem in their life is very likely not telling the truth. Unfortunately, we look at other people's lives and wish we had their fortunes. However, we do not see what happens behind the doors of their life. When something negative happens in their life, they may be put down for a few days. Does this happen to you? For myself, the littlest of things will cause me not to want to go outside. I trap myself inside for at least that day. This is definitely unhealthy and not normal. I miss out on many things with my family and friends. When I decide to go back outside, I am unsure how to get back into my daily

I became slightly depressed because I missed all of my friends from back home and I knew that they were still making more friends and living their lives without me. I wasn’t as social in school as I was at my old school because I didn’t have any other support system besides my family. I thought the best way to make friends was to conform and start dressing like the kids at my school. I also began listening to the same music that everyone liked, so that I could have something to talk about with them.…

As a result, I've excelled in my studies and my family continued to ridicule me because I loved being in school. My personality matured to an independent individual. Furthermore, I'd rather figure every single thing out on my own, since that's the way I've grown up. I've grown up, up to this point, without my father and my mother barely around from work. Yet, no matter what, I remain thankful that they attempted to become remotely involved.…

“H-Hi… M-my n-name is…” I would constantly stutter like this when introducing myself on the first day of school every year in high school until 12th grade. This was the result of having terrible self-confidence and being introverted. I became introverted due to my move from Indiana to Alabama. I still have a love and hate relationship with this move. I love it for the fact that it showed to not take friends for granted.…

Regardless of how a business deals with its customers, the business has to always use a customer lens, which means the company looks through the customer’s eyes. The Walt Disney Company shines at customer service, and the reason is that the company, in constructing every consumer experience, gazes at everything through the eyes of the consumer. Every time the company comes into contact with the customer, they do it with an experience approach, not a task approach. When businesses enter into their customer connections as tasks rather than experiences, customers feel better handled through the system rather than just feeling appreciated. It is simple to descend into the task approach; it is the experience approach that enhances customer faithfulness.…

In Chapter One of Marriage and Family: The Quest for Intimacy, we are introduced to various concepts, facts, and misconceptions concerning the experiences one may have when raising a family or living their life with another human being. Personally, there was plenty of information to learn and discover in this chapter, but if I had to narrow it down to three things that I found most interesting, I believe I would say that I was most fascinated when I had read about loneliness, and the myth concerning having children for an increase in marital satisfaction. As a child, I was very shy in school and I did my best to stay out of everyone’s way. Granted, Praise the Lord that I had a wonderful family and church to lean on, because if I hadn’t,…

Throughout my childhood, adults frequently questioned me on whether or not I fit the stereotype of the only child. I have been asked if I was spoiled and bossy more times than I can count. In a way, I feel that I did fit this stereotype as a child, but I also feel at one time or another every child believes the world revolves around them. My family has described my younger self as being very defiant and strong-willed. I regularly did not listen to any of the tasks authority figures asked me to do, and instead I would stare at them and continue to do whatever I wanted.…

Coming from money has made myself anti-social in some regard. I tend to avoid interactions with people and I’m extremely weary of meeting and befriending new people because throughout my life I have been hurt time and time again from people creating false relationships and friendships with me because they knew I had money. After constantly having to keep my guard up and evaluate every person I meet and decide if they like me or my money, I have concluded it is just easier to keep my current friends, who I know and love, and avoid making new ones. This made it extremely hard to transition to college where I didn’t have any of my friends from back home.…

When people ask me to describe myself, I always draw a blank, I never know what to say, I’m caught off guard because I don’t really love talking about myself too often because I am someone who likes to listen rather than to talk. I always have to think about what I should say to make a good impression on whomever is asking me the question. There is a lot about me that you can see by just looking at me; I have short brunette hair, I’m short, hazel eyes, I’m quiet, and more. However, there are certain personality traits about me that every single person I know on a personal basis can tell you; I am candid, I am shy, and I am very loving. I am candid and by candid, I mean I am always very truthful and frank.…
