Excel Health Journal Analysis

Improved Essays
For my last resource I created an Excel Health Journal for goal setting and progress monitoring. This was an electronic journal that could be tailored more specifically with other metrics or aspects that he would need. The journal has a goal setting page along with basic body measurements and target body goals. After I created small weekly workout plans, which could be modified or expanded as necessary. I used a 12-week time period as this was a good starting point to make a behavior a habit. The workout plans were designed to be an hour maximum to make them manageable. After each week there was a Checkpoint page to do measurements and progress tracking. This was by far the most extensive resource that covered multiple concepts and models.

Week Eight Journal Mrs. C. C. was a sixty-seven-year-old Caucasian woman who presented to the office with bruises on her left forearm and right hand. She had a history of diabetes, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, peripheral vascular disease, and arthritis. Upon completion of her history and physical exam, large dark purplish irregular patches were noted on the left dorsal portion of bilateral forearms. The areas did not blanch and appeared to be isolated areas to bilateral forearms. There were no other signs of bleeding noted or verbalized per Mrs. C. C.…

Then, I would help them to develop a step by step plan to achieve their fitness goals, with an emphasis on smaller, more easily achievable goals that they can check off on a daily basis. This emphasis on smaller task goals will foster an increased sense of motivation and help each client to track their progress daily in terms of their own “goal checklist”. I would use the task goal orientation to set goals so that each client can focus on being better than they were the previous session. This helps would help clients to track their progress, and allow them to see their own progression in comparison to their previous performances. If they believe that they are in competition with only themselves, then they will be less likely to compare their progress to others around them, thereby reducing feelings of dissatisfaction with their own personal fitness…

Individual Analysis: ACCJC Background Reviewing recent reports surrounding the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) reveals that there are many issues that have been proposed in regard to the efficiency and efficacy of their accreditation processes (CITE). For this reason, many feel that the ACCJC is not meeting their obligation to maintain institutional quality. In the following sections, I will discuss what issues specifically the ACCJC is having in terms of maintenance of institutional quality and what recommendations have been suggested for the commission to improve it’s accreditation processes. These recommendations were derived—in some cases—by comparing the ACCJC to other accrediting commissions and modeling…

Source four is the best article because it has the some more recent information and it is from a notable source, Mayo Clinic. Another aspect of this source that none of the other ones had, was that it had a section at the bottom where all the information was found, and who it was found from. The second reason I believe this source is better than the rest is due to the fact that the author doesn’t seem to have any type of bias leaning towards pro or against the use of marijuana. The author also doesn’t seem to take anything for granted, she/he explains different uses for marijuana and how it can be interpreted. He/she explains what the use of medical cannabis is used for, and how recreational drug use is also still common today, and why it’s…

Fitness and Goal Setting Knowledge Fitness and goal setting have been the main topic of conversation in this class. Whether we need to work on legs or arms today, or what we are going to do in the future. I learned that it is better to do quantity over quality when it comes to fitness workouts, and that it is always important to stretch and warm up your muscles before a workout to ensure you do not strain any muscles. For goal setting, I learned that if you pick a specific goal that you wish to achieve, like say to reach +10 in the fitness flexibility test, you can keep working towards that goal step by step, or in this case number by number, to reach your goals efficiently. When reaching towards a goal, you cannot just make it in one try…

There are many different audiences that we are trying to attract towards the “Spring Into Health” event. One of the most specific groups we are striving to get in touch with are the commuters of the surrounding communities. Due to the event being held on a Sunday, persuading commuters to participate will be one of the most important aspects of the event. Another group we are attempting to reach are people that want to learn more about their health or that are interested in learning tips in regards to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Also, although they would be a smaller sized population, I would have to say health professionals that are trying to make connections with other professionals to better their business or practice are our last target audience.…
