Even though I have them to love and care for me doesn 't mean that I don 't still think about what it would have been like if I had never been taken from my real parents. I wonder whether they would love me or whether they wouldn 't care about me at all. Maybe when I am older I might actually meet them and see what they are like. I hope that as a special education teacher I will be able to change lives and work with parents and offer them the support that they need in their child’s teacher, no matter how many extra, unpaid hours that might involve. Today I realize that not everyone is who they say they are, and that is okay. I forgive them, I forgive myself. At that time I did not do anything to defend the truth and defend my God, but now I have a true reason to fight for. Family is one of the biggest influences one can have in their lives whether it is for the good or the bad. What I believe, how I think, and who I am is a collection of what I have either accepted or rejected from my family. My mom taught me that the most important person to listen to was myself when it came to determining what was right and wrong. I think that this made it more difficult to find my beliefs, but I have also learned that my beliefs should grow and change with me.…

An unknown author quoted,” It is so easy to believe someone when they are telling you exactly what you want to hear. But you have to watch what they do too. Actions speak louder than words- actions speaks the whole truth.” I relay back to this quote often, with life changing struggles. The bond that my family shares not only proved this quote is real but it is what some people should live their life by. As a result of growing up in a close family, I have learned the importance of being a wonderful parent, evolving myself throughout the community, and cherishing myself more.…

Support has always been present for my education, which isn’t something everyone can say. My parents have been there for me no matter what is going on in their lives and I’ve always felt the need to repay them later on. My middle school was a fantastic school which really prepared me for the future though their values and principles. The St. Andrews community is a very close and supportive community which is still helping me out and making sure I’m doing well in my education.
