The way whales get brutally stabbed, and/or tangled, all for their meat is very unpleasant. Putting a ban on the sale of whale meat would dramatically change the outcome of how fast the species is being depleted. If no one were able to buy the delicacy of whale meat, there would no longer be a reason for killing this beautiful species. Even after an attempted ban on commercial whaling itself, Japan, Iceland, and Norway found a loophole in the treaty so they may continue to kill whales legally and inhumanely. “In commercial whaling, some 36,773 whales have been killed since the moratorium decision came into effect.” (US Whaling) Out of those thirty-six thousand whales, Norway, Japan, and Iceland have managed to kill 30 thousand for their meat products
