The play Romeo and Juliet is similar to many of the issues of today’s modern days. Romeo and Juliet has the use of gang violence, use of drugs, and depression/teen suicide in teens. The Capulets and the Montagues are a good example of gang violence, with the two family’s constantly fighting on a regular basis. The crips and the bloods are the perfect example of the family’s hate for each other, Crips and Bloods would fight just over seeing each over on the street. Tybalt saw Romeo at their party and just because he is a Montague Tybalt wanted to kill him at the party that had tons of people present. It was a rivalry that filled their souls with hate for each other they became blinded by the hate that they felt every time
