Examples Of Violating Social Norms

I have always had a bad habit of violating social norms whether it be raising my hand to use the bathroom, making loud noises in public, being completely silent when near close friends, or holding the door open at in awkward distance, or in awkward positions. One of my favorite social norms to break has always been awkward eye contact, or when someone else is staring at me, male or female I wink. I enjoy making people feel uncomfortable and violating social norms is the easiest way to do this, it is also the only way to do this. I had to do some thinking of a social norm that I could go against that I already do not break that often, and when I think I tend to fidget with whatever is in my hand. I even started to say simple things through morse code with the clicking such as S.O.S. or N.O. and Y.E.S. I found it funny that someone picked up on my morse code when I finally stopped. Through my excessive pen clicking I received many dirty and slightly annoyed looks, a few pity laughs and a “bless your heart.” I originally felt that Mr. Hurt was using me as an example more often in hope that I would stop the pen clicking, but I later found out he had no idea that I was the one doing the clicking. With any act of deviance there is always at least one person who finds it hilarious and one who wants to strangle you until the deviance is stopped. This act was no different, I had someone chuckling at other people's reactions, and someone who kept on turning around and giving me the dirtiest look he could conjure.
