The definition of a hero is a person with outstanding achievements. They all are gifted military and political leaders and each, in their own way, want only the best for Rome. However, they all just have very different ideas of how to achieve it, some honorable and others not. “If it be aught toward the general good, Set honour in one eye and death i' the other, And I will look on both indifferently,”(I.ii.85) Lastly whether the characters are heroes or a villains all depends on the reader’s perception and which character they sympathise with. If the reader takes Brutus’s point of view it is Antony as he betrays Brutus. In Caesars, Antony’s and the plebeians point of view then the villains are the conspirators because they murder Caesar. “Villains, you did not so, when your vile daggers Hack'd one another in the sides of Caesar...And bow'd like bondmen, kissing Caesar's feet; Whilst damned Casca, like a cur, behind Struck Caesar on the neck.
