A Registered Dietician (RD) must not only have clinical or business skills, they must also exhibit a standard level of professionalism. Thankfully, I have been able to observe so many examples of professionalism from my preceptor, staff and other members of the health care team while at site. Among the most professional attributes that I have observed at my practicum have been competency, reliability, positivity, support & respect for others, and staying current with most up-to-date evidence-based research in order to provide appropriate and accurate Medical Nutrition Therapy.
