Tragedy Essay When I get asked about a tragedy that has happened in my life the first thing that comes to my mind is my parents splitting up. The reason why this is the most tragic incident that has happened to me is because it is the incident that has effected me the most. I have suffered, been depressed and even cut myself out from the world and the people around me. I feel that the reason I was so affected by this was because it happened very recently.(28) Winter break of 2016 had just started and I hoped and planned it was going to be full of activities and hanging out with my friends. I had just got off of school and headed home like usual. I waited for my parents to get home from work so we can all go out to eat dinner like we usually do on a Friday night. My dad came home and I looked at his face and he had the same look on his face he had for a couple weeks. I had to start to pack all of my clothes in a bag when I was going to stay at my moms and to me it was like going out of town every two weeks and having to pack and unpack, I hated it. The holidays we also different because I would spend some time with my mom's family and then leave to spend time with my dad's side of the family. The number one question I was always asked at family get togethers was, “Are you doing okay?” I would respond with a slight grin and say, “I’m fine.”, even though I knew I wasn’t.(120)
In conclusion, my parents splitting up was the most tragic thing to happen to me. It continues to be a struggle for me every day. Having to deal with new changes happening every day and seeing my parents move on and go their own ways without each other has really affected me. Even though this was the most tragic thing to happen to me I try to push through the hard times and focus on the
