Three American Dreams - Different But The Same

American Dream has been described as each generation doing better than the last. Every person has a dream, and of course those are different. I am about to tell all of you three different stereotype American Dreams. There are things that inspire people to achieve something they want to have or to be. The story "A Raisin in the Sun" is a great examples of people who got dreams of their own. The dreams of Beneatha, Walter, and Mama show us that, despite great obstacles, the American Dream is still possible.

One of the character with a dreams is Beneatha. Beneatha's dreams is to be a doctor, and to have a big salary to provide her own needs. She is studying very hard, so she can achieve her dream.

Being Beneatha and Walter's mother is definitely hard, but Mama is proud of her children who has dreams of their own. Mama's dream is to have a nice house to live on for her family. She just want the best things for her family she is cherishing all her life. Mama has a ten thousand dollars. "Now you all be quiet. It's just a check." People are overreacting because of the money she have and quarelling over it. Mama trusted Walter, and gave him the rest of the money after paying the downpayment of the house, where they are going to live. "Me and Big Walter just didn't never learn right." The money has taken away by Walter's friend. Beneatha's study expenses money are now gone too. Mama admits that she and Walter made a mistake. Mama might be disappointed with what happened, but her love of her family is unconditionally and would never disappear.

Beneatha, Walter, and Mama are characters in "The Raisin of ths Sun" story with powerful dreams, who shows us that, despite difficulties and obstacles, The American Dream is still possible. Nothing is impossible for a person who has a strong will to do something. Every person has a right to have a dreams and to pursue it. It just takes a long journey before someone achieve it. But, I know, We know, It is all worth
