In the first two acts of the play we were introduced to several motifs and symbols. Temptation and evil was one of the motifs in the play. Macbeth is compelled by his own ambition and his wife’s ruthlessness. An examples of Temptation and evil would be the problem or the initiating event when King Duncan got murdered by Macbeth. Making Macbeth egoistic by protecting his seat as a king, ignoring all of the good moral aspects against the murder by describing his am as “ And pity, like a naked newborn babe”. The second symbol that was truly described is appearance vs reality. In the beginning of the play, Macbeth seemed to be a loyal servant that could not disobey the king’s orders.
