Have you ever got angry at someone? Well in the story The Veldt the parents get their kids a nursery. The nursery is like a TV. The kids spend all of their time in it. The nursery is coming to life and the kids treat the nursery like it was their parents. When the parents try to shut the nursery off the kids send lion from the nursery after them. Ray Bradbury in The Veldt focused on symbolism, revealing action, and the reader knows more than the reader to create suspense.
The author uses symbolism to create suspense. When he writes, “But this- the long, Hot African veldt.” This creates suspense by showing that the kids are lonely because a veldt is a rural place with not many people. This is a symbol of how the kids feel lonely. Since they are lonely you don't know if they will do something bad. The author uses a lot of symbolism ,and now you know why it is in the story.
