Everyday I see people wanting to stand up for something, but don’t do it. People get so scared because they don’t want someone to judge them or lose someone they care about. I had stood up for my sister Hannah when “rumors” were going around about her. I had lost friends because of it and I would not change that. Hannah is my baby sister and no friend or person is more important than her. I wasn’t going to let people say things about her or call her some inappropriate things. I had stood up for in a positive and negative ways. I have done the same thing as John Proctor when Elizabeth was getting arrested. John had tried to talk to the marshal first, but then got mad and aggressive. I can relate to John because we are both protective …show more content…
What I had learned from that was don’t be afraid to stand up for something. People come and go, but family is forever. I would stand up to anyone to defend Hannah, even if what they say could be true. It wouldn’t matter to me I would defend and protect my sister. In my honest opinion, standing up for what you believe in is the best thing you could ever do. It shows that you are not afraid to stand up for someone or something. John Proctor wasn 't afraid to stand up for what he believed was right. Neither did Giles, he stood up to the court. I know for a fact that everyone wants to stand up for something but most people are too scared to do anything. I know people do get scared because I am one of them. I get scared to stand up for things but I overcome my fear and do it. To me I can 't let someone get bullied or let something that I know is wrong just go. The feeling of standing up for someone is an amazing feeling. So stand up for what you believe in and you will see how amazing it feels afterwards.
