Imperialism: The action of a strong country taking over another country or territory. The colonization of South America in the year 2030 by the USA will not be a good idea; looking at the past events of trying to colonize a developing country, many negative things come out of this invasion. Considering these problems as to why this is a bad idea include, losing control as the developing countries, mistreatment from invading country, and being taken advantage of by the “helping country”.Think about this though, Does the world really need another example of imperialism?

Firstly to show the losing of control as the developing country is this quote, “Many nations looked to Africa as a source of raw materials and as a market for industrial products. As a result colonial powers seized vast areas of Africa during the 19th and 20th century” Africa was rich in resources and had the manpower but are too underdeveloped to utilize these resources so Europeans wanted to run the operation of the extraction and money making potential of Africa. …show more content…
For some reason the Europeans felt Africans were lessor/ not equal to them because of their country’s conditions. “We have to civilize the barbarians and bring christianity to the continent” by this claim, The Europeans wanted the Africans to believe the same faith they do because it will make the people less barbarac and more civilized. Even though the barbaric people in this situation seem to be the Europeans based on the evidence. The Europeans were so civilized right? wrong. The Europeans brought diseases that killed thousands of Africans, because the diseases were out of control in Europe. How civilized and advanced can your country really be if it is just seeping deadly diseases out of the borders and spreading like wildfire in these new lands they go to
