There are people who attempt to survive on television shows in nature but they also require assistance in order to succeed. On a television series such as Remote Survival (hosted by Alex Coker and narrated by Andrew Morgado) it is instrumental for people that compete on this show to have guidance from an earpiece that gives them important information on their surroundings (IMDb). The challenge of solitude along with survival puts too much pressure on a person and overwhelms them to a point where they die like Chris in Into The Wild or back out of it like Waterman did. In Jack London’s To Build A Fire a man tries to travel through the Yukon trail of Alaska by himself with no one but his dog. This attempt of trying to navigate through a dangerous territory risked his life and ultimately got him killed. The only mistake he made was traveling by himself. Also in a poem by Teppo Gren called Nature’s Wonderful Garden which describes nature from a viewpoint of somebody secluded in nature. Nature and seasons in a divine bliss bliss of life and beauty and beauty to reminisce (Poeetrysoup.com). From this view point anyone could understand why someone would attempt to live like this in the solitude of nature.
