In one of these cases a boy age 12 named Tamir rice was shot and killed. The police officer that shot him was said not to have given him immediate medical care and he could of had a chance to live if he had medical care after he was shot. Cleveland police said that rice was reaching into his waistband for what appeared to be a gun when the officers arrived. There have been many cases where kids have been shot because they thought that they were real guns, but they were fake, so police need to start paying attention because a lot of kids carry toy guns, and if this continues to happen it will get out of hand. So from now on when people see a child with a “gun” make sure it is a real gun before you fire your own weapon because it could be a to gun and you just shot an innocent kid for no reason. So try and pay more attention to children these days so you don't wind up killing an innocent

Power is used in many different ways through TKMB; many people use their power in a positive way like Atticus unlike others who abuses their power like Bob Ewell. Bob Ewell uses his power in a negative way when he blames the rape of his daughter Mayella on Tom Robison knowing that Tom would be convicted guilty because he is black. In The Help power is shown in mostly negative ways with the white people treating their maids with disrespect. This is shown when Milly fires her maid Minny for using the home toilet instead of the one made outside and when Aibileen gets accused and fired for stealing silver cutlery. Through TKMB and also The Help are constantly shown the innocent being taken advantage of from those with more…

One of the themes of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, is inequalities due to race and social class. In other words, black men are treated less importantly than white men because of their race. In addition, African Americans are at the bottom of the social hierarchy. The tension between both races are shown in the novel. For example, Atticus explains to his daughter, Scout that men “couldn't be fair if they tried” about the different races in the town of Maycomb (Lee 295).…
