Personification is something authors use to give life to an object. Some examples would be the chair, book and a trash-can. Out of those words the author can make the whole story better. The novel “Wolf Brother” is a great example of personification. Michelle Paver always adds personification. Personification is an important part of books because it makes the reader understand and imagine more about what the character is going through, what the character sees, and what the characters see. Personification also makes the sentences more powerful. “The river punched him in the back,smashing him limp as a wet leaf against the rock.” (page 135) That sentence made me feel frightened and worried. Michelle Paver could write the sentence like “As the
