However, people are raised with mindsets that differ from others. The United States is filled with countless religions and political views, with new opinions forming with each generation. Each opinion comes with different ethical views that might clash. Additionally, both positive and negative experiences people go through in life can change their mindsets. For example, my family consists of Republicans, Democrats, Catholics, and atheists that at times disagree. My sister’s ethical views also changed when she changed from Catholicism to atheism. Just like in my family differing viewpoints create ethical conflict in our society. However, I still believe ethics are important in our society. They shape our decision-making, and those with generally good and considerate ethical views can change the viewpoints of people who were not brought up with them.
Conclusion: Ethics impacts all parts of our lives, whether it is our personal or professional lives. We are brought up to believe in certain ethical views by our family, but differing views in our society can either clash or change our opinions. The ethical views I have grown up with have been constantly changed after different experiences from grade school to college, and even now as I enter the workforce.
