Overcoming obstacles have been the story of my life. At this moment I could explain various ones that I have encountered. When the biggest obstacle that I face every day is just waking up and beginning my day. Being that I am a single mother, a caregiver to my mother, who at this point in her life cannot do anything for herself, and working a demanding job that requires me to work over twelve hours each day, not to add being a full-time student has become a task within itself. Each day I ask the question like "What am I living for when everyday feels the same?" "Is this what life my life will be?" However, during those thoughts I also realize that life will not always be like this. “What does not kill me makes me stronger” (Nietzche, 1888) is a true fact indeed which I live by. I realized that each day we face a task and go through things that we do not want to go through. To be honest obstacle's is supposed to give us the motivation, and the drive to push through our storms to reach our destiny. …show more content…
They should not define our destination, but it should be a moving force to give us strength to get there. When reading "When there's a will there's a way" a certain statement from it caught my eye. It states that "An individual’s response and methods used to allow them to successfully navigate through our past an event perceived to be stressful."(Harrington. 2012) It caught my eye because I had to make a choice of doing what I set out to do and make it work for me.
