My Dream
Growing up, little kids always have someone they look up to, a role model. It can range anywhere from the super hero who came from krypton to save the world that you read about in a comic to the person whose there to catch you when you fall off your bike and scrap your knee. Although I recognize that college is not all fun and games I’ve dreamed of going to Berklee College of Music, located in Boston Maryland, for the length of a great period of time. In the movies you see kids storming to their mailbox and receiving that acceptance letter and their families being so proud them, that’s all I can dream for. Berklee might be thousands of miles away from the ones I love but it would be the best opportunity for me. Berklee offers so many diverse music programs that would only lead me to success in being a music teacher. Dreams can range from small, daily goals to crazy, seemingly impossible ambitions, but they can so easily be squashed by anyone unbelieving; however, as a child, any dream is accepted, and, if you're lucky, it seems as if there is no limit- not even the sky. When I was a child, I looked up to my teacher in second grade because she made me feel as if I was worth something, and that I will truly be able to make the world a better place, since any dream I had was achievable. She inspired me so much that I am getting my degree to be just like her, simply for that reason- to make a difference, and be the adult, the personal cheerleader, that every kid needs for support, even if they have no one else who believes in…

When I think of college, I think of the opportunities I'll gain to access the world. To me, a good citizen is someone who aspires to learn as much as they can about the world, and do as much as they can to connect to the different people that live in this world everyday. Travelling across the world, or even to the next state, allows for a person to have different experiences and have new relationships. These relationships are the foundation of our society, allowing for the spread of knowledge and perspectives. This creates a world where we become more tolerable to other cultures and aren't afraid to try something new.…
