Growing up, little kids always have someone they look up to, a role model. It can range anywhere from the super hero who came from krypton to save the world that you read about in a comic to the person whose there to catch you when you fall off your bike and scrap your knee. Mine happened to be and still is, someone I only saw once a day for forty-five minutes, my favorite class period of the day that I always looked forward to since for as long as I could remember. My choir teacher, Mrs. Arnold, made it the most life changing for me. Although I only had Mrs. Arnold for several years and for a short time period in the day she was able to show me the beauty of music, not only that but life lessons, for instance, not being afraid to be myself and how to be a great leader. Although I recognize that college is not all fun and games I’ve dreamed of going to Berklee College of Music, located in Boston Maryland, for the length of a great period of time. In the movies you see kids storming to their mailbox and receiving that acceptance letter and their families being so proud them, that’s all I can dream for. Berklee might be thousands of miles away from the ones I love but it would be the best opportunity for me. Berklee offers so many diverse music programs that would only lead me to success in being a music teacher. With professors who are willing to take the time to learn how you work with music and shape you into the best possible musician you could only dream of. That’s more than I could ask for in my journey to becoming a music teacher. If a professor, which at Berklee they talented and experience professors, is willing to share their knowledge of music with me than I know I will become the best music teacher I can be and I believe Berklee College of music is the school for
