Examples Of My Artifact

I artifact that describes me is my birth certificate. The artifact is very simple and plain, a very ordinary object. The artifact is a mere sheet of paper, but it tells you when and where I was born, my name, and the names of my parents. It has a distinctive watermark on it proving its authenticity. This artifact, although ordinary, is very important to me because it provides information about my birth, and my heritage. One day it will help me vote, and also help me with other aspects of my life. It proves that I am an American citizen, and if one day someone were to find this they learn a lot with a single glance. It tells my most basic information. Without it I could not easily prove my identity. My birth certificate is one of the most valuable sources of information about myself that I hold in my possession. Another artifact I feel describes me ae my past report cards. These documents all loo the same, a single sheet of paper with small black text. They list an average for each subject I took along with the letter grade that average is represented by. It is a simple laptop computer, not high end yet sufficient for my purposes. It is about 15” wide by 6” long, when closed it measures just under an inch in height. It weighs in at about 5lbs. It appears black and color and the top has a matte finish. Though it is simple, this computer provides information on what language I spoke, and if you look through the files you can find information about what subjects I was interested in, what I did in my free time, and my dreams and aspirations. This device is very important to me because it is a gateway to knowledge and information, along with information about the recreational activities of my time.
