Many times in the past history has repeated itself, and it will always repeat itself. In the 1950’s the Senator of Wisconsin, Joseph McCarthy began trials and investigations to expose communists in Hollywood. All hearings were a result of false accusations, just like in The Crucible when people who had no connection with witches or any association with witchcraft were being falsely accused of preforming it.
