The Great Gatsby also shows us how when the factor of money comes into play, perceptions of people change. You could say that money makes people do crazy things, but in this novel Daisy and Gatsby exhibit their value of money. Gastby intrinsically, his drive and perseverance in obtaining his goal is, in many senses, commendable. He is a self-made man is admirable. His motivation for these riches became clear when he fell in deep love for Daisy Buchanan. Money was the only thing stopping Jay from acquiring Daisy's love. Daisy, in regards to money, I would say is the only thing keeping her alive and appreciative. She is only attracted to Gatsby because of his riches, if he did not have $1 to his name, she wouldn't have even thought of crossing his path and leading him on. Despite her beauty and charm, Daisy is merely a selfish, shallow, and in fact, hurtful, woman. But by the means of Gastby's attachment to her, he plans to never go without fortune, for the purpose of being unaccompanied by her. Love in this movie is visible in many ways, but also the love for inanimate objects is clearly shown as well. In the beginning of this buddy movie Selena and Gordon meet in a well known park, where they sit and have small talk about anything imparticular. This becomes a usual thing when he finds out that she is blind and he buys her a new pair of sunglasses. See right here he represents concern when she says she’s insecure about her eyes scars of how she became blind in the first place. Namely, he and Selena become closer than ever and she starts to catch feeling for Gordon on a more intimate level.
