In the United States 90 percent of couples are married at least by the age of fifty, however 40 to 50 percent of these couples get divorced, the percent is even higher for subsequent couples. Researchers also took a national survey to see what the most common cause for divorce was, the results concluded that 73 percent of failed marriages were due to lack of commitment.
