A story I never told you... My sweet, sweet lover, Anton! Okay, I wrote this the night I knew that you loved me more than anything. It's not that you don't show it, but it does take time to get processed and the entirety of it can be overwhelming. I love you and I'd do anything for you as well. As a child, I believed when two people got married, they found what people call “true love”. These people who found this never ending love got married. After marriage, they only had eyes for their significant other. Marriage meant you had someone who was reliable no matter what was going on in your life. Marriage meant teamwork; unfailing, never ending love.…

However, that is simply not the case. Hope and change come in many forms and, thankfully, mine came in the form of a person. His name is Kelly and he's the reason that I have this opportunity to write this essay. He has believed in me from the start and pushed me until I was where I needed to be. I had never met a person like him before; for once in my life there was an actual living person who fully supported me and never left my side no matter what I threw their way.…

Deborah thoroughly explains the differences and similarities throughout the article but this particular part stands out most. Deborah indicates that people can be driven by fear into the arms of someone that is looking for the same feeling of security by asking "Have you found yourself attached to someone, not because you love them, but because you need them?" There are people that find themselves in long-term relationships, even marriages, then later find out that they did not love their spouse at…

Having someone truly loves you not because they have to, but because they want to is something that I cannot explain. Soon after my mother espoused this new man, he decided to adopt me. At the time, because I was so young, I did not fully understand the significance of this important act. Yet, even though I may not have understood it, it still meant the world to me. “They’d be amazed to hear that Chance has been toying with them now for years.” (Szymborska 17-19). The couple wouldn’t be amazed to hear that they were being toyed with by chance for many years because of the fact that they met by love at first sight. My interpretation of this though, is that since they are destined to be together by chance, the situation becomes clear that if the couple knew that they were destined to be, the setting would show that the couple would be amazed. “Not quite ready yet to become their Destiny, it pushed them close, drove them apart, it barred their path, stifling a laugh, and then leapt aside.” (Szymborska 20-25). This time chance is showing a more childish side.…

I feel like I am close to the people I am because of love, I always make sure to let anyone I love to know I love them because one day they might not be there and they’ll never know. To not loving something or someone in this world is a lonely life, a sad life, a life that is numb.
