Living A Healthy Lifestyle In North Carolina, 31.8 percent of adults are considered obese. Currently North Carolina has reached its highest obesity ranking to date among the states at 16th. As North Carolinians face obesity as a major challenge in their daily lives, it is important to consider living a healthy lifestyle. In order to decrease this percentage, a person can start increasing exercise, clean eating, and staying disciplined throughout the whole process. It is shown using these ways to maintain a better and healthier lifestyle can decrease obesity as being a major factor in disease or death. When in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle, one of the major steps in achieving your goal is clean eating. Clean eating is a deceptively simple concept. Rather than revolving around the idea of ingesting more or less of specific things, for instance, fewer calories or more protein, the idea is more about being mindful of the food’s pathway between its origin and your plate. Clean eating is simply about eating whole foods like vegetables, fruits and whole grains, plus healthy proteins and fats. It also means cutting back on unhealthy fats, large amounts of sugar and salt, preservatives, additives, and refined grains. It is also a good idea to stay …show more content…

The cost of healthier foods, body soreness, no partner to workout with, fatigue from a long day at work, busy with household routines, laziness and lack of time to name a few.
