Leadership Philosophy of Robert W. Linn
Leadership can be defined as your influence over and on the performance and wellbeing of others. If a person has the ability to impact someone’s life for the better, they are a leader. Conversely and sometimes more importantly, if you a life can be effected for the worse, that’s also leadership. Peter Drucker describes the demands of leadership succinctly:
“Leaders require the capacity to analyze, to think, to weigh alternatives, and to harmonize dissent. Love: Love for me, is a state of being. I am a man of deep faith, and this comes through in this value. I wish to represent this by recognizing the inherent humanity of all those with whom I interact, regardless of situation you are my family as a fellow human and coastie.
2. Joy: There is joy to be found in every situation. Happiness is like a warm blanket that you can pull over you in the moment but it comes from a situation, a person or a place. Joy is internal, like a small ember that is always there. You may choose to ignore it, but it doesn’t go out. When you choose to focus on it, it grows and warms you from the inside out; radiating outward and influencing all those with whom you interact. I’ll be the first person to laugh at myself to find the joy in any moment; this is how I live in joy.
3. Curiosity: Curiosity is the opposite of judgment, the opposite of comparing and contrasting. There’s always something more to any given situation beyond the story you’re telling yourself. Cultivate genuine curiosity by temporarily suspending judgment and learning how to ask the right questions. The quality of your life will be determined by the quality of the questions you

Leadership is defined as being a leader of an organization or a group of individuals. To me a leader is someone who will give their all to accommodate someone in obligation of assistance. A leader doesn’t give up on hard task and pushes to be an example for their peers. I have demonstrated my leadership in and out of school by being a responsible, honest and hardworking individual, who expresses empathy to help those who didn’t think they could achieve a goal on their own. While in high school I have been in multiple extracurricular activities such as Drill Team, FBLA, FCCLA, Student Council, Class Treasurer, NHS and Yearbook.…

A school club that has built a legacy on students who exemplify the ideals of leadership, service, character, and citizenship. To even be considered for a group of this nature would be an honor within itself. Leadership is simply defined as the action of leading a group of people or an organization however, I believe leadership to be much more than simply being in charge. True leadership is simply more than being bossy and I have learned this through my experiences within boy scouts.…

Leadership is providing direction to a group of people that may be seeking or lacking greater information. Through powerful leaders, the ability to transfer knowledge among similar generations takes patience and clarity. Without the existence of strong examples, confusion and misunderstanding would occur in young minds. As my peers and I are beginning to mature, we are transitioning from being influenced by a leader to becoming an important role model to others. Leadership is exemplified in my life through influencing the lives of younger generations, as well as through personal achieved acts.…

What is leadership? Leadership can be traced back millions of years; one could postulate that the first forms of life on earth showed forms of leadership. For instance, Insects show leader ship behaviors with their foraging skills, as do birds with flocking. Thus, people from ancient times to now have tried to explain where leadership is derived. Consequently, there are seven theories that have been composed to explain leadership, great person, trait, behavioral, situational, contingency, transactional, transformational, and big five theories; each theory building upon the other and the ever advancing definition of leadership.…

In addition, he discusses how leadership is not the same as management (Northouse, 2015, pp. 3-7).…
