Boo Radley is a person warped in enigma for most of the time in the book. While Jem (Scout's older brother) tells Dill about Boo Radley, scout heard this "Nobody knew what form of intimidation Mr.Radley employed to keep Boo out of sight, (In her mind) but Jem figured that Mr.Radley kept him chained to the bed most of the time." Their isolation affects the people around them and they could misunderstood or were misled by them, and the isolated characters rarely express who they really are and are always shrouded in enigma. Boo's existence was to be believed as a myth and rumors spread to the town's younger generations making it sound like he was a monster. Dill was neglected by the love of his parents, leaving him to seclude himself and saying odd things and rarely expresses his true self. Mayella was slaved away to her family and never gets boring to go out and be socially, leaving her to have anxieties, lonesomeness (other than her family), and temptations. This isolation is a theme in the book, To kill a Mockingbird, and shows how a character warped in enigma and seclusion and effect others to misunderstood or be misled by the affected
