Examples Of Injustice In Oedipus

Every novel or play there would be a character that has a significant way to be justice or injustice. Characters have their own way to express their qualities. Based off their way of being, turns out one of both which is justice or injustice. A way for a character to have justice would be base what he/she has been thru or what they’re going thru. For example, the play “Oedipus Rex” the character is finding out the truth about who were real parents. Several of the characters would want to tell him about the truth, but due to his short temper, but they couldn’t. There would be many complications happening throughout his life; therefore he always came out righteous. Oedipus creates justice when in the play comes the murder of his father. He kills Aiman in self-defense, not knowing he was his father. His actions on the road to Thebes remain justified and acceptable. …show more content…
At least, he found a ruler and people who will not torment him for the several things he didn’t mean to do. Thebes himself makes this plain to Creon when he tried to kidnap Oedipus; however, unlike the Thebes who seem caught in an endless cycle of vengeance. Athens is held up as an ideal city, founded in the rule of law. Therefore Oedipus would have to be responsible for the people of the town. For every misinterpretation, there would be, Oedipus would quickly be the first one to be willing to fix it. A character like that shows a lot of bravery because there wouldn’t be any person to be willing to do that. A character like that from the novel “Oedipus Rex” is more likely to be a role model.
